They’re mostly either nocturnal or very very shy, and their eyes are sensitive to the infrared focussing light that iPhone cameras put out - tl;dr, they’re really difficult to photograph and just hide in the caves at the back
…which is a shame, because there’s some baby Hypancistrus in there who are tiny miniatures of their parents and very cute*.
* for a given value of cute. These are fish that look like they were designed by HP Lovecraft while on an LSD bender.
