Instructive how people writing the most incisive, informative posts usually have bios like "huge idiot", "garbage eating loser", "horny 4 grunt" etc while bios bragging of high educational and professional achievement mostly produce self serving apologia for the cancerous status quo
An extremely rare picture from the Atlassian archives, showing the first Jira click dummy

I’m idly wondering about hacking together a utility that scans your follower/following lists on both Mastodon and Twitter, and then *unfollows* the Twitter accounts that have also popped up on Mastodon.

Behind the scenes is a Next.js-based microservice running on Vercel, that pulls the sunrise data from a Norwegian Meteorological Office API, and crunches the data. Then an Easycron job triggers the process at the appropriate time every day, and the fedibot.dev instance does the rest.

Some more #projects :

This family of bots toots information about sunrise, sunset and daylight duration in various locations around the world

Berlin (en): @daylightinberlin

Berlin (de): @sonnenzeitinberlin

London: @daylightinlondon

The English Lake District: @daylightinthelakes

San Francisco: @daylightinsfo

New York: @daylightinnyc

They toot at 8am local time, and show the time of sunrise and sunset; day length, and the change, shorter or longer, on yesterday.

Urban fox (after dark + maximum zoom + image stabilisation = terrible photo)

On the whole, these are not fish that are ever going to have a starring role in a Pixar movie.

Something directed by Guillermo del Toro, on the other hand…
