Hey Mastodon-Bubble: am I just stupid or is there really no possibility to create lists? Found this feature extremely useful to sort topics instead of following thousands and having to scroll through the whole timeline to find specific info...

1. You are not stupid.
2. You CAN create lists. Just the 'official' app doesn't support it. In the browser interface and in the fedilab or tusky apps it's no problem. I use lists extensively.

At Twitter I use *a lot* Lists to follow without having all content in my Timeline (Timeline woud be unusable!).
AND! At Twitter I can create PRIVATE Lists, so Users don't see, who's on my lists!
A very useful function.

I use only my own private lists. I think here on Mastodon that's the only option.

As far as I know all lists on Mastodon are private in the sense that you cannot subscribe another user's list.

However, it is possile to download a list as csv file and share the file with somone else.

@docjosiahboone @JuttaPaulus @elvira_rosert I use private lists in Twitter for following accounts secretly, means: The user (and other users, even my followers) doesn't/don't know that I'm reading that - e.g. Nazi - stuff for reporting or complaints.
Here, I can only add *users I follow* to a list.
Well, but seems they stay in my list, even if I unfollow them afterwards... I'm testing.
On the other hand, I never know, which private lists I'm on, but ok for me.

@docjosiahboone @JuttaPaulus @elvira_rosert Test failed. Tröts only appear in the list when you follow the user, means that you better delete the user from a list when you unfollow, otherwise Karteileiche in list. 🤪

I can't find a way to import an exported Twitter csv List-file into a LIST in Mastodon, only add or overwrite *followerlist*. :(
