@MoreFrances literature reviews often encourage me to do other things. According to Self-determination theory, a feeling of autonomy is a strong intrinsic motivator. That does often mean I make the autonomous choice to do something I enjoy more than my literature review.

@MoreFrances actually I got my lowest mark for that assignment. Maybe they thought I wasn't taking it seriously enough.

@colinreed well I feel that reflects badly on those marking it rather than on you - failing to recognise your important contribution to the understanding of a common academic phenomenon!
