So what’s the best iOS Mastodon client currently? Also anything good for windows?

@bengillam I’m switching between Mastodon (iOS), Metatext (iOS) and beta testing Mammoth (iOS and by Aviary creator).

@rob @bengillam on iOS, just gave the same answer to someone else a few minutes ago, Toot! It is not free, and hasn’t been updated in a while, but it is the most polished by far for now. And once you learn how to browse other servers public timelines directly from Toot!, you’ll love it.

MetaText is my alternate; features wise it is good, but not as polished. Waiting to see what Mammoth becomes. There’s also a beta for Tusker on iOS, but I like it less.

@mathieu @bengillam I did look at Toot. The only thing that meant I stayed away was the length of time between release and now. Especially given v4 of Mastodon is in the release candidate stage. Minor concern some stuff wouldn’t work with it.

@mathieu @rob thanks will take a look. I’m on Twitterific for Twitter so update gaps I’m used to lol. As long as it works and nice to use.
