Wondering if I should write a study guide for Malware Analysis. If anything, it would be cool to hear feedback and hopefully more resources in unaware of.

@deweyritten there’s two really great old books (Hacker Disassembly / Hacker Debugging) by Kris Kaspersky (no relation). The tools discussed are largely outdated but both are full of reversing insights I haven’t seen anywhere else.

Can usually find them off AbeBooks. Would love digital versions.

A write up would be cool and might benefit more than aspiring malware REs. One of the things I’ve always loved about REcon was the mix of disciplines. Although I’d done RE for vuln research for years, my first REcon in 2010 was the first time I met a bunch of malware RE people. It’s always neat to pick up tidbits from others.
