@MamaG This reminds me that I need to make my Mom's chicken and noodles soon. I've never made it before, and I never thought to ask her how she did it.
@feverspell there are some good recipes on Pinterest. Start with the basics. Bone in chicken, onions, garlic, carrots, celery, seasonings. Then tweak it to your liking or memories. I add diced tomatoes to mine & I okay with seasonings that I like.

@MamaG That's very similar to how she made hers. She always put in smoked paprika, so the broth was a pale orangey color.

I'm not looking forward to making Thanksgiving dinner by myself this year, but I'm going to do my best.
