CabinLoon@rmayemsinger That's the one I've been trying. I'm mostly using web (advanced view, on laptop) as I don't like typing on my phone, but for scrolling and minor interactions, that app seems pretty nice.
@CabinLoon I don’t like using my phone either. But I have not found a Web app version that I like.
@rmayemsinger I don't use an app on the web at all, just straight "advanced" (set in profile) web version. Which is a lot like tweetdeck, which is comfortable for me as I use that mostly for twitter in first place.

David “the Talking Skull” Fox🌻@rmayemsinger That's what I'm using on my iPhone. But on my Mac, I REALLY like the advanced multi-column view, but found it overwhelming when I first started.
For example, I've added a desktop column that follows an #XR list of people I created, and another column following the #ReturnToMonkeyIsland hashtag so I can respond to people who are playing our game.

@tmv33 @rmayemsinger @MetaText I worked with a small team which developed a fantastic photo app. We were asked REPEATEDLY about android. There is almost no version control, it's a dog's dinner of software. Even Google's own apps often are more capable on non-android phones. I don't give a shit about Apple, but android is embarrassing dogbarf.

It may be harder snd less profitable to make Android apps, but it opens the discussion space for more voices. You don’t have to agree, but let’s try to stay civil - no need to use words like “ghetto “ to say is that you really dislike a tech platform.

David Boles@rmayemsinger I found the actual Mastodon App to load notifications faster than Metatext, but the Mastodon App doesn't have all the server domains available, so Metatext is a good second choice.

@rmayemsinger Couldn’t agree more. Just installed an update, things are getting better fast. Couple of key bugs squished with flashing timelines, and search modals popping up have been banished. Yay!

Fern Woodsson 🌿@rmayemsinger agreed. I switched a week ago when I realized it updates faster. I prefer the UI on an iPad over the Mastadon app as well. Once I switched I really found it made it easier to deep six Twitter.
