@Ted The fact is nursing is a specialist skillset. In this day and age, we have a society that places money and earnings as the ultimate indicator of knowledge and skills, so why shouldn't nurses be recognised as such?
It is also fact that we have a national healthcare system. It is the remit of the state to look after the wellbeing of its population. Drugs (especially) and healthcare is expensive. If we want a decent service, we have to pay.

So for yours I'd say something like "A white woman in a nurses uniform, holding a handmade sign that says" if you love the NHS, don't vote Tory"

Recently Ex NHS staff here (non nursey type). No danger of Tory vote here. I'm now registered disabled so one of those lazy scroungers they hate.
