The number one question I see as a first post here is "where is everybody?"

Home timeline: People you follow
Local timeline: People on the same server as you
Federated timeline: People your server knows about (Local + other servers)

If you are new, your home timeline will be empty. There is no algorithm so you decide what shows up there.

Good luck building your own social network experience! It can be as busy or relaxed as you want it to be.

@Rabbithole I'm using the Metatext app on iOS and I felt it was better than the official app, but I'm re-downloading the official app to see how much different it is.
