Hello!
I’m James Roddie, a full-time professional photographer based in Inverness in #Scotland .

I specialise in #mountain landscapes and upland #wildlife , and can often be found up on the summits at dawn or dusk waiting for that next moment of magical light.

My images are widely published in magazines and books, and commissions make up much of my work. I also guide a variety of wildlife photography workshops throughout the Highlands.
I look forward to getting started on here!

@jamesroddie Wonderful picture. I hope you will post more!
@by_tor Thanks. I certainly will!
@jamesroddie Welcome James, I think you'll like it here, it has a really positive vibe. Look forward to seeing your mountain images
@jamesroddie that's a beautiful image! I've been lucky enough to experience it a few times but ever more rarely since I moved to Denmark - where is it?
@Ruth_Mottram Thanks! This is in Torridon, Scotland.
@jamesroddie Welcome. I missed Scotland in my Fedi-timeline.
@jamesroddie awesome pic! Welcome, sure you’ll spend nice time on here

@jamesroddie Hi James! That's a lovely area for a photographer to be.

And a great photo.

@njd Thanks! And yes it certainly is.
@jamesroddie hi your photos are beautiful. It seems the Fediverse like you to add alt text to images here for non sighted people.
@jamesroddie Hi James delighted to follow you and looking forward to seeing your work. Keen amateur tog and love Scotland

@jamesroddie That photo is nothing short of stunning.

Where was that taken?

@colin Thanks Colin. Taken in Torridon, Scotland.

@jamesroddie Really nice to know that's on 'my doorstep' (I stay just outside Edinburgh) - that photo is something else!

I'll definitely look to head up that way for a long weekend on the other side of Christmas.

@jamesroddie Coincidentally, I'm in Inverness this weekend and have just enjoyed a walk along the Ness Islands. You're so lucky to have that in the heart of the city. Beautiful - but maybe a worrying amount of water atm...
@AllyBallyBee19 Thanks! Yes it’s a lovely spot to have in Inverness - often good for spotting wildlife too.
@jamesroddie jAMES THESE ARE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL !
@jamesroddie that’s an epic shot, James. I’m slowly starting to work on my landscape photography and Scotland is on the top of my list of places to visit (and take photos of). Can’t wait to see more of your work.
@jamesroddie absolutely stunning photo. Stay safe on your adventures 😉
@jamesroddie greetings . Nice meeting u here
@jamesroddie Welcome aboard James, looking forward to seeing your work. Hobbiest here, based the other end of the island.
