One of the things that turned me off to that other place a few years ago was when I noticed the trend to talk less about your life, and more about whatever outraged you.

I see more then a few people have brought that bad habit over here recently. I'm not saying it didn't exist here before, it's just increased at a notable rate.

So let's boost what's going on in people lives. Boost the foodie pics. Boost the messy living room pics. Boost the Costco selfie.

Let's keep Mastodon social.

@Mrfunkedude i’ll be honest, i had all but stopped “conversing/posting” there. i would have small side disussions, but not proper ones anymore…i’m still trying to remember how/when to do that now that i’m here…being massively socially awkward often makes it hard for me to feel confident enough for me to actually chime in.
@catscortex I get that. I was more or less the same way. The last two or three years I was on Twitter, I just used it to let people know about my video content. Other than that, I didn’t visit it as often because I got tired of all the outrage.
