External keyboard and terminal on my e-reader to SSH into a Raspberry Pi running Emacs to take notes! Perhaps not very convenient for serious writing, but it makes for some excellent Friday-night nerdery.

@EFLS cool! May I ask if the keyboard is talking directly to the ereader and if so, how? I've done similar things with a kindle and a remarkable but both do not provide a way to directly connect a keyboard, neither USB nor Bluetooth.

@m4lvin The e-reader (a Boox Note Air 2)* has a usb c port, and the keyboard as well (Atreus from Keyboardio), so it's just a cable

* I wouldn't recommend the Boox. The company, Onyx Boox, has a shady reputation when it comes to respecting FOSS licensing -- or so I heard.

@EFLS nice keyboard, I'm currently using a lily58 but I've been thinking about building an Atreus, how are you liking the keyboard?
@yo_boi I have been using this the Atreus for two years now and love it. Haven’t built this myself (lack of skills), but can highly recommend the form.
