New here. I'm noticing that I follow someone, then later in my notifications it doesn't show that I followed them so I have to re-follow. This has happened several times now. Sorry, not my fault I guess?

@obrerx I’ve noticed that I’ll follow someone, but I’ve actually unfollowed them because my instance has been laggy, and hadn’t had time to show I was already following them!

So hitting follow, ‘unfolllowed’ them.
I’m being more careful now and making sure the account has fully loaded before I hit ‘follow’!

The platform seems to be getting more stable. It was a mess a week ago when there was a massive influx from Twitter.

@autisticbookclub @obrerx There's a confirm unfollow option in prefs (although if the UI hasn't updated from the first click, maybe that doesn't help)

@autisticbookclub @obrerx there is a setting in Prefs called confirm unfollow. Very handy :)

@jacmoe @obrerx I already had that on! I think it was just the server overload delaying the confirmation.

I don’t want to unfollow anyone! (At least not yet!) 😆

@obrerx it happens when the server gets a bit overwhelmed I think. Also some days I can’t post pictures. Growing pains I think.
