@Lookitmychicken @fieryzard word. Part of the whole reason I started using that TTS program I shout-recc to everyone who will listen is I wanted to be able to chew through my gigantic read later list and, like, do other things sometimes xD. Use of my eyes and hands helps with that!

@MagicLesbianLazerOwl @fieryzard do you find the text-to-speech reader is a good listening experience? I tried something like that a while ago but it wasn't that great. especially with pronouncing non-English words. possibly I just need a better app?

What's the name of the one you use?

@Lookitmychicken @fieryzard The reason I landed on the one I like (Voice aloud reader) is that it has a fairly easy way to change the pronunciation of text patterns, so I'm able to fix most of the chinese names in danmei fic, for example (well, get as close as possible with english phonymes, but it's a lot less annoying that way).

@Lookitmychicken @fieryzard Aside, but not unrelated: sometimes the jankieness of pronunciation adds to my experience: the voice I was using pronounced "cum" (and only that spelling as "COOM" with, like, actually all-caps intensity. The number of times that has made me lose my shit before an update went and fixed it...I almost went back and broke it in the settings for myself again xD
