Morning bounty: a handful of fresh macadamia nuts.

Morning heartbreak: the rats are busily ruining the remnants of the avocado crop. Little monsters climb up, nibble away enough to drop the monster avocado you will pay twelve bucks for at the farmer's market, and then move along to the next one.

@Zed_Czar when we were in Cali we had possums in the fig tree, teamed up with skunks on the ground to make sure we kept the dogs inside. You have not lived until you’ve dealt with a 3am skunking!

@Zed_Czar no matter how smart your dogs are they cannot resist the urge to bark at skunks. Joe got it right in the mouth once.
