@adamdavidson @JamesGleick @joshtpm @konomikitten I confess that I thought the CW approach was odd when I first learned about it, and it seemed kind of unnecessary, but the idea has grown on me

@mathewi @adamdavidson @JamesGleick @joshtpm @konomikitten i thought the idea of a content warning was a little ❄️-ish at first BUT now I sort of love it. Like… it’s on ME (the content sharer) to be compassionate about the preferences/needs of others … and to put safeguards around things that others might not feel comfortable with.

It’s not that hard… and it changes how you think about your role as part of a community.❤️

@dannagal @mathewi @adamdavidson @JamesGleick @joshtpm @konomikitten and... you can use the cw text as a joke set up and click for the punchline
@donniecash818 @dannagal @mathewi @adamdavidson @JamesGleick @joshtpm that's really just misusing content warnings, I'm not saying it's bad but it was not their original intent.
@konomikitten @dannagal @mathewi @adamdavidson @JamesGleick @joshtpm good point and agree. Could be fine in certain circumstances but not a general practice
@adamdavidson @JamesGleick @donniecash818 @mathewi @dannagal @joshtpm @konomikitten I mean, it’s fine to do both. The CW is meant to be humane; as long as it does the job of helping people understand if the post is what they want to see today, it’s fine to be lighthearted/humorous about it.
