What is the outer-most story you tell yourself?

I find my mood correlates with the story I believe myself a part of, and the "outer-most" story is the cosmic or global one that is hardest to change.

The outer-most story I am seeking to replace right now is "We are killing ourselves by war faster than we are killing ourselves via climate change."

@canadaduane I try to avoid thinking about that scale these days, because it is all stuff I can't do anything about and it just gives me anxiety. So I just try to have faith in humanity to do the right things eventually, and focus more on my immediate world (which is still quite global thanks to the internet for better or for worse).
@canadaduane Although, the latest surge in active users here is giving me hope that it actually is possible to at least lay out the groundwork for a better world and just wait for the dominant system to fail. Still trying to decide what that means for me, but it makes me optimistic.
@aeva Thanks, I appreciate that. I think I'm trying to find different words than "wait for the dominant system to fail" to acknowledge the bad but also re-frame things in terms of what my role can be. "He who waits, anxiously" is a very painful role to play in this cosmic theater :)
