How do you build your list of interesting people to follow on Mastodon? When I visit "Federated" is see so many messages flicker past that it's basically useless. When I go to "Local" I only see mastodon.social posts, which presumably do not include all of the people on Mastodon that I might find interesting?

Some people look at the universe and conclude there is no meaning, because it does not care. I look at Earth and see an evolving Mother and evolving God caring, hewn from rock and flesh and mind.

"God sleeps in the minerals, awakens in plants, walks in animals, and thinks in [humankind]." --Arthur Young

We are earthseed. We are the center of meaning making. Our existence hints at the rise of a listening society, of wisdom systems, and ultimately--millennia hence--of a caring universe.

All of the lost data and bug squashing today is absolutely worth it if Relm gives you a chance to feel closer to your people or helps you organize space for thinking and gathering online.
Thinking about the potential harm SBF has done to Effective Altruism (TM). If Utilitarianism were a trilogy, this chapter (11?) must be part of the second volume: "Virtue Ethics Strikes Back".

I tried a few Chrome extensions that give a pleasant "new tab" experience. My favorite is Bonjourr--beautiful, simple, and doesn't require handing over the power to see everything I do in my browser:

Hey @Techyogi what's up!? Welcome.
It's remarkable how something as small as adding the sound of a crackling fire to the visual effect makes it feel so much cozier a gathering place.

What is the outer-most story you tell yourself?

I find my mood correlates with the story I believe myself a part of, and the "outer-most" story is the cosmic or global one that is hardest to change.

The outer-most story I am seeking to replace right now is "We are killing ourselves by war faster than we are killing ourselves via climate change."
