@Humanistforindy we all need to agree to #respect for the opinions of others without that we will get nowhere fast and if the end goal is #scottishindependence then it shouldn’t matter how we get there as long as we get there with #respect #dignity and #compassion
@davidboatymcboa @Humanistforindy well said👏👏👏Scottish independence isn’t about party politics, religion, beliefs, or what football team you support. It’s about self governing and making the right decisions that’s right for Scotland. We need to stick together and get Indy over the line first and foremost
@iansummer1 @davidboatymcboa @Humanistforindy very well said! We have to work on this goal together and once we achieve it discuss the best way forward and who leads, there will be an election to see who's ideas for leadership we prefer and new parties will also emerge.
@iansummer1 @davidboatymcboa @Humanistforindy Completely agree, for my own part I'm someone who was raised in a Labour heartland in the shadow of a major steelworks that was closed by Thatcher. Rangers fan, and a former soldier for 20+ years. On the face of it I should be a staunch Labour and Union supporter but we have been let down by Westminster for centuries and Independence is normal. Scotland can be better. #ScotsIndy #ScottishIndependence
@soldierwhy @iansummer1 @davidboatymcboa @Humanistforindy I take my hat off here, conditioning amongst peers and workmates is a huge decider on how your political or moral senses are hewed. Never underestimate the power of the pack (on any side of any devide) there are not that many who through reasoning and afore-thought can change camp because they studied the situation.
@seamus @soldierwhy @iansummer1 @Humanistforindy at the end of the day and regardless the goal is #ScottishIndependence we are after all, all #JockTamsonsBairns and I for one would like to think we could set aside this nonsense about “sides” and just achieve it, maybe I’m being naive maybe I’m just hopeful
@davidboatymcboa @soldierwhy @iansummer1 @Humanistforindy your not naive, anyone that ideally wants anything less isn't prepared to see the whole thing through, I know from a past stricken with the devide caused within family's of mixed religion Irish and Scottish that the ideals we desperately seek are easy to talk about but far more difficult for the people choosing opposites to make public! That's why they deserve recognition, their reasoning is far deeper than a born believer.
@iansummer1 @davidboatymcboa @Humanistforindy Well said Ian Summer. It always baffles me that Scottish conservatives are so resistent to Indi because scottish conservatism will still exist and be represented in an indi Scotland
