@Slavin I can’t help but must add that we should refer to those as ‘Neo Nazis’ as ‘Nazi’ refers to the original party members who (thank god) are mostly all dead by now. Other than that: Perfect reply, @Gargron 👍🏼
@danvanmoll @Slavin it's okay to call them Nazis. They were never gone.
A good blog post about this topic by German historian Moritz Hoffmann: https://web.archive.org/web/20220310210513/https://www.moritz-hoffmann.de/2017/09/22/wir-muessen-ueber-nazis-reden/
@exilsoester @Slavin I still prefer the term ‘Neonazi’ - people knowingly (in terms of history) joining a movement are far worse.
@danvanmoll @exilsoester @Slavin but "Nherited Nazism" I would not call neo. Neo I would call someone acquiring the niza ideas but from a non nazi background. Here in Austria, there is still quite some inherited Nazism. Nothing neo about that...

@matthez it’s not me coming up with the ‘new idea’ of the term ‘neo nazis’ - those fighting to re-establish the terror from back then have been called like that for ages. Never heard the term over in Austria?

Even though I highly appreciate the adult and serious way within has been discussed here (imagine this discussion on Twitter) I think it’s not necessary to go any further. Nazis are scum. No matter if “original” or “new(ish)”.
