Quite possibly the biggest drop I’ve seen for a Google Search Console property that isn’t from a manual action. This one was following the Oct 2022 Spam Update, which destroyed this sites Google traffic.

This is actually a legit brand and I was working with one of their other domains at the time. This happened in the middle of the project, and it was clear that they flew far too close to the sun with AI generated content after a quick review.

I’ve since reached back out to the client and want to help them get this site back on track. They understand where they went wrong, but now they need a plan of attack for recovery and training on how to have a more sustainable strategy.
