Mastodon is insanely more rewarding for me than Twitter. With about a 10th of the followers, it draws almost as many views to my videos as Twitter. The platform is really, really good.

I also love the feeling of using an #opensource platform to communicate with people.

@thelinuxEXP "Rewarding" is a great word for it. It feels more personal, with more meaningful conversations.

Also, we FREQUENTLY see the Thunderbird Community helping each other out here, and that is nothing short of amazing.

@thunderbird @thelinuxEXP It's not only the FOSS aspect that makes Mastodon feel so wholesome, it's also a matter of community culture. I think we newcomers will rather sooner than later realize what a great foundation for civilized discourse all these marginalized communities have built here over the last few years.
