It's been a real busy day and I think most of you on mstdn.social has noticed we are almost an hour behind on the timelines..  

Past night around 11K new people joined mstdn.social via invite links and this was a little too much to handle  

So instead of running in circles, I have setup another public #Mastodon instance with the same rules as on mstdn.

To lighten the load on mstdn, perhaps some would care to migrate to the new instance?

@stux Dumb question from someone new to Mastadon. What is an "instance"?

@danwentzel @stux To liken it to email, it's your service provider. Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo... Those would be your instances. You can still talk to people on different instances. Yours is mstdn.social, mine is speeb.net.
