@PhilippaPerry I struggle a bit with this question. Until fairly recently, I'd say I have had better friendships with women than with men. I worked in a sector with a pretty high level of gender equality, and lived in cities. Now I live in quite a prosperous, rural setting, and I find that people here, while lovely, have much more set expectations that husbands will socialize with husbands and wives with wives.
