@gamingonlinux it can play God of War and Elden Ring, but I use it mostly for Vampire Survivors.
@harrypujols @gamingonlinux Yep! Same here! Also a great Grim Dawn console. Tales of Arise works really well too so far. It's effectively replaced my 2070 laptop completely.
@gamingonlinux yeah, the cheap Chinese USB-C dock I bought wouldn't do 4k@60hz, so it doesn't get used. Not really willing to pay $89 for the real one, at least until SteamOS supports the mode I want to use: Steam UI or Discord on LCD, game on TV.
@gamingonlinux like, just let me hold the Deck and play on TV, the controls are quite nice. Don't like booting into KDE and dealing with an entirely separate Steam UI.
@gamingonlinux itโ€™s an amazing handheld but it also works great on a tv. The best setup though is a usb C docking display, you can still use the deck as the controller when docked (with a decent length cable) or use other ones
@gamingonlinux I'm sure it's been said a hundred times over but being able to play my steam library without having to be in my WFH spot is such a lifesaver.

@gamingonlinux got my Steam Deck with what I calculated my refund money will be from Stadia.

I absolutely love it. Stray is a perfect game for getting used to the device.

@gamingonlinux I wonder how well #Amiberry would run on it (I don't have one, so I can't test). I''m pretty sure it would make a good option for handheld #Amiga gaming, with a little bit of work.

@gamingonlinux Biggest problem I've had has been that I always played keyboard/mouse not controller and it's really hard to unlearn. Great for doing #eso crafting writs in bed though
@gamingonlinux being able to lay in bed and play Elden Ring is all I need.

@gamingonlinux

I'd love to dock it but I'm expecting not great picture quality from it. Maybe I should give it a go anyway with FSR upscaling from 720 ๐Ÿค”

@gamingonlinux as someone who grew up with the GameBoy/DS, handheld gaming feels like the truest version of gaming.

@gamingonlinux Iโ€™ve used it docked, and it works great.

But yeah I always go back to playing handheld.
