Someone reminded me that I shouldn't find "people to follow" here. Instead, I should find people to *have conversations with.*

Unlearning 14 years of Twitter terminology and mindset isn't an overnight thing. But it's important to shift how I look at this space.

Because this space is special.

@killyourfm I'm really loving browsing the Local timeline for this very reason: you suddenly find a random post that tickles you, you answer, and a conversation can indeed happen with someone new. That's something I never saw happening on Twitter
@lminiero @killyourfm The more I’m reading and leaning about this platform, the more I attribute this to the absence of quote tweeting here, and how that mandates conversation (talking directly to someone), versus talking around/above/away from/or even at someone.
