After not really clicking with Photosynthesis, I did not expect much from Evergreen but ended up having an absolutely grand time. More thoughts later. Ask questions if you got 'em.
@nopunincluded good to know. I liked evergreen well enough but I haven't gotten it to the table in a while.
@nopunincluded looks interesting. What was unexpected about it?

@Vescis I just remember Photosynthesis being hard work and this felt fast and free, but still crunchy.

Felt like the game finally found itself.

@nopunincluded fascinating! I loved my two plays of Photosynthesis and had doubts about this one since it seems fairly solitary—what makes the difference for you?
@MarcelineLeiman I always felt that Photosynthesis was clever, but a lot of work for little gain. This one is a lot more solitaire, yes, but I think that that conforms to the game's strengths. Also, it feels a touch freer.
@nopunincluded watch a few of my friends play this at Essen. Seemed really well done. How did you find the 'stock marked'? If i remember correctly the leftover cards from the marked effekt the scoring
@jfoolsguard Yeah it's definitely interesting but after just one play I feel like I can't comment on that aspect yet.
@nopunincluded Ooh. That board looks delightful.
@James_M_Hewitt it's really pleasing, but the bits are quite fiddly.
@nopunincluded I played it at the weekend and had a similar reaction. It feels almost nothing like Photosynthesis, which I hated.
@actualol throwing shade never felt so good.
@nopunincluded Lol. I'm stealing that one. 😛
