My family’s first computer was a Commodore 64, so this playable accordion made from two of them really tickles me.

@gannet Mine was a #Commodore #VIC20! I would program applications from Compute's Gazette and leave it on for days cos it took so long to type in the #program! My brother would get mad at me for some reason and go turn it off - just to get back at me.
So, my mom got me the tape drive ($49) - a LOT back then! It took 20 minutes to write the file out to tape!

Dad bought me a #Commodore64 about 3 years later. WITH a #floppy drive, monitor AND a #parallel #printer - hooked up via G-Whiz adapter! 🏆

@gannet BTW: K-Mark (yes, I'm THAT OLD) was just down the street. Every time I needed a new THIS or THAT for the #VIC20 (game, cartridge, etc), I'd take my allowance, go down the street, put it on #layaway, pay-off some of it, and walk back home...waiting til I paid it off to enjoy my purchase, knowing it would be soon... good times!
@jann @gannet Mine was TI99-4A with a TV for a monitor and a regular tape recorder for file storage. My dad’s Commodore-64 came a few years later with a 5 1/4” floppy drive! That EasyScript word processor got me through high school (college had computer labs)!
