Ouch... Then again i was under 20 and forums were barely a thing...
ArneBab@kirenida … but it worked for *us* … for a while. Because we were the people who wanted it to work like that.
But we failed to transfer that to the many newcomers. Maybe be cause we did not see how much of it was not technical but social in nature; especially among those who built it.
Once big money crept in the digital publishing, our social codes encoded in tech got erased one by one.
