@SocialMediaNomad twitter had many good aspects, for sure. But those aspects could largely be recreated on the fediverse once a critical mass is reached, and many of the horrible aspects can be avoided.

Besides, if the last week is anything to go by, twitter is a lost cause, and will quickly devolve into a sewer of hate and mistrust. Hanging on to hope seems fruitless.
