#auspol #austwitter #introduction So, here I am. I avoid anything #murdoch for obvious reasons. Likewise, Harvey Norman. Didn’t buy a Tesla home battery or car because of Elon. So why would I stay at #twitter ? I do still read my American and Australian politics feeds over there. But hopefully they will migrate here eventually.

@sbsSusan If you bought a Tesla after Mush decided his production was worth more than the lives of his Tesla car employees in California wrt COVID public health orders, yep, you're endorsing nutjob Elmo.

We bought our Powerwalls in 2018/19, before he lost his mind. Won't buy any more.

In particular, though, Tesla is no longer the only EV game in town and there are better and cheaper alternatives. There's really no excuse to subsidise RWNJ Elon.

@weezmgk We have an AlphaESS battery and are getting a Nissan Leaf+ car - expected delivery in Feb. I’m just pleased Elon showed his true self before we decided to buy.

@sbsSusan Same. We're 60ish, retired, and find $50-70K for a new EV that we're unlikely to ever run out the battery warranty on is not economical, but both our cars are approaching 250,000km and something uneconomical to repair will eventually break. Out price point for an EV is in the mid $30K area, so we've been waiting..
