📣 Great news from the National Trust AGM - the results are in and Restore Trust have:

❌ failed in their two resolutions to appoint an ‘ombudsman’ and prevent the Chairman’s discretionary proxy vote

❌ failed to have their candidates appointed in the Council Elections

The propagation of these culture war themes in the right wing media is so pernicious.
My wife (doesn’t do Social media) came off the phone to her parents a couple of weeks ago totally bemused at them bringing up a whole diatribe against the NT that was all the Restore Trust agenda They’re not members AFAIK & never visit NT properties but take Spectator & Telegraph.
