The Federated timeline seems pretty useless given the large numbers of totally unrelated toots streaming by. And so does the Local timeline on a large server like mastodon.social.
Or am I missing something?

@Sustainable2050 I have found filtering on languages I actually understand improved things a lot 🤣

I also started following hashtags to find new people to follow and get more relevant content that way. Those then pop up in your home feed.
