I hope Mastodon is ok with artists trying to make a living from the beautiful work they enhance your feed with on this platform. So many of us relied almost entirely on Twitter to survive bc it was the only platform that yielded us an engaged, friendly audience. There is no other place for us, not really.
I will be promoting my online store and Patreon as non-obnoxiously as possible, feel free to mute or block me if you’re unable to tolerate that!
@pepperraccoon Promote them as obnoxiously as you need to.
@Curator bless, y’all are the best. Very grateful to be in a place that shares my feels about NFTs and being careful re: ethics with AI art. 💖💖💖💖
@pepperraccoon I can't find the thread now so I'll try to summarise this: I had 20k insta followers (now 15k), a 5k FB group, and 3k Twitter followers. FB sales were reasonable, never sold a thing through Twitter or Insta. When I first came here and had a few 100 followers on my personal account I would sell stuff on the regular. I've made far more money here than on all three other platforms combined.

@pepperraccoon I post things for sale and they get bought very quickly. I post things I do for shits and giggles without posting that it's for sale and someone will ask if they can buy it. People here - not just on .art but across the fediverse - are *eager* to buy art from indie artists.

So please, post your shop links and products for sale regulary. <3
