Don't try to "grow your brand" here, the Fedi doesn't really work like that. Virality doesn't really happen. It's nice!

@geekoncoffee Yep, each instance has its own admins and moderators.

When you make a report, it goes to your local admins and mods - in your case, ruby.social.

You'll have the option to ALSO forward it to the mods of whereever the content that you're reporting originated as well, so that their mods can take action too.

@aurynn cool, that's helpful to know. Not sure why I didn't think about the fact that picking a server had tradeoffs, I was just following the crowd. Makes me wonder, is it possible to block entire servers?

@geekoncoffee yep, it is. You can block an entire server yourself, and your instance can also block an entire instance for everyone, which we call “defederating”.
