@hunterowens how much content you looking to host? Feel like it all comes down to how much storage space and redundancy you need to determine what form factor to go with. My brother has run one for years and is storing 10+ TB.

@hunterowens yeah I would probably with a synology or similar as someone else mentioned unless you already have something you could piggy pack off of. I run a little microATX SuperMicro board with Proxmox on it for all those type of services but mostly not worth it if I didn’t get hardware for free.
