@MikeMahoney218 I may have finally let go of the idea of going for another degree. I can't imagine making time for studying and papers and exams and all of that.

Maybe in ten years when my last kid comes of age. Maybe.

@djwfyi I generally don't recommend it! Unless you've got a clear idea of exactly how it's going to advance your career, or enough money to burn years of effort. Especially PhDs which tend to make you less employable overall

@MikeMahoney218 I hear that. In my 20s, Ph.D. was my expectation, but didn't go that far. Honestly, I'm lucky that never worked out.

My next degree, if there were to be one, would probably be for the pure fun of learning. Maybe math, physics, or meteorology.

Meteorology is what I always wanted to do growing up, but didn't.

As a tech writer for software, I think the industry moves too quickly to make any degree practical. I'll always be relying on others' docs, readmes, and code.
