Pfff. I've never seen quite such an inclusive community. Keep being awesome!   Show them that we do accessibility better than they ever could!

@talon I honestly didn't care that much about accessibility untill I joined fedi and realized that these features helped me. Now, I try to advocate for it whenever I can. It's important.

@talon tbf they’re probably talking about how fedi is a bit different than other social media so when joining here there’s a lot of new stuff to learn about how this works… but that’s sadly just a consequence of fedi being different than the corporate social media most people are used to. It does make joining a bit intimidating, but from what I’ve seen people have been eager to offer help and spread info

@enby_of_the_apocalypse i think they were mainly complaining about the official mobile apps. And those are valid criticism but dismissing everything else outright because of that is not ok especially if there are so many people putting in work to make it pleasant. Like the whole idea is that you have freedom over exactly how you use this thing. I guess that's just what happens when people come in here with the mindset that this is just a replacement or clone and not it's own thing.

@talon ah, makes sense… the official apps suck, but of course someone who is not very familiar with the fediverse would think that the official app is what we expect people to use
