But regarding the hellsite... Deep capitalism is stopping it from being a friendly place. Greed brings attempts to keep everything and everyone centralized. Greed keeps the code hidden and greed will stop meaningful attempts of moderation, as monsters are huge potential customers.
Twitter ending up in the hands of a deluded billionaire is a fitting end for it.
@Thygoddess I feel like it's not gonna feel like a forum to me unless I can scroll through different topics and then see people in one singular thread having one long ongoing discussion about that topic. In that sense, toots still feel like tweets, and threads still feel like Twitter threads.
But I definitely agree that the worst people with the most money are the ones doing the most damage to Twitter. That's what greed'll do for sure.
