This is going to be the mega thread to hold my various crafting stuff. If it's not your bag, please feel free to mute the entire thread (or me, of course).
I'm gonna have multiple threads branching off from this parent, it'll get gnarly, so hashtags will abound.
So because I'm a bit flighty & struggle to finish projects, I've started something new while finishing #TopHatChick & #Barbarella. It's also my first full #resin kit.
Here's some early photos, being primed.
Gothic sandstone base laid down on parts I intend to be stonework while I wait for Mr16 to wake up so we can do some stuff together (I've taken a few days off work to do some bonding).
I think I need to go buy some paints for next bit.
Paints bought & applied to side nacelles(?). Those of you as sad as myself may recognise the colours & paternation design enough to know where I'm heading on the inspiration for this scheme.
I had intended to preshade panels. Forgot. 🙄

And that means that in the evening, I can get another coat on, and finish the invasion stripes.
So that's the fuselage (nacelle) body paint scheme done. Gloss coat, panel lines, decals, weapon painting, gold leaf, & weathering to do yet.

Gloss coat, some gold leaf, a single panel line, & weapon core base coat done on the nacelles.
LOTS of bling added to the throne, and some work on #Lilibet herself.
Starting to really come together (in my eyes).
Lots of finer detail added. But needs touching up - so looks like a step backwards - but it will hopefully come together soon.
Decided to paint her crown as a hat instead, as I think it's more... her.
