I thought the whole #fedi thing would be more fun, servers and instances like an archipelago, with a spread of island bobra and cultures. Different e ologies developing, #galapagos style.

In the end it’s just names next to nicks. Some sound interesting but thats it.

Am I missing something, dear #fediverse?

@alek I haven't wrapped my head around how federating works but even the known network / global timeline seems to be different on smaller instances

@jonossaseuraava I also haven't warpped my head around this! And I think that this is something that should be easy on a network that wants to be more fair / honest to its users.
I'll try to find out more, but for now this feels like a problem with lack of documentation, especially non-technical one, that seems typical for many #floss projects
