If our server has extended downtime (hours, days, weeks...), what might happen? I think we've heard rumblings of "your domain will break and you can Never Run Fedi On That Domain Ever Again", but I really don't know.
@topaz in the worst case, you could still run a new server on a new subdomain
so if you had your instance as awesome.wolves and it breaks, you could make a very.awesome.wolves
if you own a domain name, you automatically own all the subdomains of it
@LunaDragofelis I really hope it doesn't break the domain! But... yeah.
I just don't want to have to completely trash our server every time we forget to start it for a while.
