I've talked a lot about #Science today (and I have a lot more I want to say about science, but one can only handle so much tooting in one day!) but I'm also very into #reading!

I recently finished my 50th #book in 2022. I've used this year to reprioritize things and refocus on myself, which includes more self care through reading ❤️ 📚

So I'd love to get connected with more #readers! While my to-be-read pile continues to grow at an alarming rate, I am still always looking for suggestions!
@_astronoMay Avid reader here, though I'm nowhere near 50 books for 2022! Currently several books behind my current reading goal...What are you currently reading? North & South by Elizabeth Gaskell for me, a reread mostly inspired by my longing to rewatch the BBC adaptation. 😅
@hawksquill I'm currently reading Dawn by Octavia Butler! Then I plan to go back and finish the Broken Earth trilogy
@_astronoMay Nice. The Broken Earth trilogy is on my miles-long to read list, though I'm not sure when I'll get to it. I have read Jemisin's short story collection How Long Til Black Future Month?, highly recommend!
@hawksquill I've heard great things about all of her books! I've also been told that the Inheritance Trilogy is better than Broken Earth, so that's on my list too!
@_astronoMay @hawksquill If your enjoying Dawn, check out Nnedi Okorafor. Her Binti Trilogy gave me a Dawn vibe to it. I’ve also read Noor and Who Fears Death, which may be one of the most memorable books I’ve read or it just hit me a certain way. I’ve also heard it’s turning into a TV series by George R.R. Martin
@raukaraka @_astronoMay Love the Binti series! Her Akata Witch series is also great.

@_astronoMay @hawksquill

Broken Earth was going to be the top of my recommend list. Do it!

It's dark, but sooo good.
