cigazze@typhlosion @Gargron honestly, it seems like the mastodon platform could be fairly easily expanded to have a microblogging feature. something where it's linked to your mastodon @username, but still a separate feed that federates the same way as toots and stuff
@typhlosion @cigazze i think semantically there is very little difference between mastodon and tumblr - both are microblogging platforms. You just need a different look for it to feel like tumblr

I think it was a clever move of Verizon. It will make more ppl switching. Just wonder how they are planing to finance this campaign in the long run.
