"If trillions of dollars can be found to sort out the banking crisis or the Covid pandemic in a few weeks, then it can surely be found to help countries transition into a low carbon world..." #COP26

It could have been worse, but our leaders failed us at Cop26. That’s the truth of it.

Countries who take this crisis seriously must seize the initiative, and make the rest pariahs

@epilepticrabbit
The trillions are not just "found", they are printed, then handed to the plutocrats to buy up almost everything.

This produces even greater #inequality. Printing money for those closest to the #bankingCartel, and the #assetInflation it ultimately produces is how we demoralise the nextGeneration or worse — produce #neoFeudalism.

We could however, adopt a #currency that is designed for #saving, and by extension #saveOurEnvironment.

Bitcoin is such a currency. #restoreBalance

@dsfgs Hi, I quoted the author of the piece, so I'm very unsure why you are 'splaining to me. Also, the idea that crypto of any kind can "save our environment" is silly enough, but the fact that you said BITCOIN is relation is just bonkers madness.

@epilepticrabbit @dsfgs

Crypto does have its place and bitcoin has established its place as the progenitor.

That being said, it is wacked to believe that bitcoin is some how the money of the people. There are half a dozen projects that are objectively better.

But BTC maxis have got to bitcoin, I guess.

@secretnamebasis
If that is the case, and you can express it, please work at changing the consensus.

We would love to devote more time to this area, frankly.

Are the other currencies able to be atomicSwapped w btc, afayk?
