I Smile at the memory of the day on the beach with Claire... the conversation with her about the tree of life and telling her that the magic that kept it alive only worked if we believed in it.

Nothing got past my eyes, and if it ever did that was when my wolf caught it for me. But his reaction to what I said had me watching him out the side of my eyes. I wasn’t known for words.
