Not watered since Day Zero.

Got a little fan blowing near it for a few hours. I'm thinking it may be too humid sometimes.

Daily indirect lighting with #GrowLight at dimmest setting for some consistent lighting since natural reflected light from outside varies. Will increase grow light intensity if variegation starts looking wimpy.

Noticed a couple of new* yellow/brown spots! 😣

Did some Googling again and got conflicting* info. Does it want higher #humidity or not?! 🤷‍♀️

💧 Not watered since Day Zero. Daily 4-hour indirect 💡 #GrowLight at low setting in addition to 🌤️ outdoor reflected light coming through high window.

Variegation & color still good. 🌱

New growth is unraveling! 🍃❤️

Other than the tiny spots on 3 of the larger leaves, it's looking healthy & happy.
Variegation & color still looking muy bueno.

I'm thinking I'll prop it higher & try training it to go up and over, along the wall, across the sink. 🤔

Today = Day 10 evening 🍃💧

I just noticed. The tips of the larger leaves are starting to brown. They look a little droopy too, I think. 😣

Don't know what to do with it. 🤷‍♀️ I think it's about time I water it. I'm also thinking tomorrow I should start leaving the #GrowLight on for 8 hours. It's very low, indirect light anyway.

I realized when I watered my #pothos that the pot's bottom is totally flat, without the usual 1 or 2 cm lift to let the bottom breathe.

Photo shows my temporary solution while I find a better setup -- elevated the pot with a smaller pot so the holes along the edge are not covered.

Hey, does anyone know what you call the watchamacallit whiter part of the plant that grows from the node up along/against the petiole and tends to turn brown? I keep referring to it as a sleeve. There must be a proper name for it. 🤔

The Plan: When it's grown some more and when I'm more confident, I'll trim off a group of 3 leaves and grow that in water.

Potted plant stays put. ☝️ I think my mistake with my now-dead #NjoyPothos was that I bought a potted one & moved it to live in water. 😁 Silly me.

Uh-oh. 😶 1 leaf under the taller, larger leaves is starting to look yellow. Perhaps watering 1x a week is too much. That's probably also why the leaf sheaths on the older leaves are turning brown.

No root rot, please. 🙏

Moving forward: Will water only once every 2 weeks. ☝️

I went for Option B -- cut off the yellow wilted 🍃 and wait & see.

The node is beneath the soil. I cut it as low as I could and covered the cut part with the watchamacallit covering the top of the soil. No infection, I hope.

And yes, I got a new plant yesterday! 😊

☝️ No water for now. Me thinks the weekly watering (though minimal 💧) made that 1 🍃 turn 🟡. Saw an article that says let the soil dry out completely (not just the top inch). 🤷‍♀️

No noticeable growth the past few days. 📉
3rd young 🍃 hasn't collapsed but very pale. The side that's away from reflected 💡 is looking rather burnt. 🤷‍♀️

I don't really mess with it.
Bright light ain't the problem.
Primary suspect is 💧 - Feb 13, 19.

A few days ago the 3rd young leaf had to be amputated. It was hopeless. Now the 2nd young leaf is starting to look burnt.

I dunno. 🤔 It's never in very bright light. Today I'll skip the indirect/reflected #GrowLight. Let's just pretend that it's mostly overcast today. *hush* 😉

Day 25 pothos 🍃 extra droopy. Gave it some water.
Day 27 it was all perky again.
Day 30 it's back to being droopy. Gave it more water today than last time.

Watered evenly around it. Barely used ½ cup water and some came out the bottom. Soil apparently not too compact. 🤔 I hope that means root rot won't be a problem.🤞

Oh wow. 😯 The droopy/curling leaves have already recovered since I watered the pothos this morning. That was fast! Last time, I didn't notice it recovering till 2 days later.

The stem was laying limp on the glass shelf this morning... Now it's perked up and not touching the glass anymore. Yay!! 😄👍

Pothos looks good and perky except for 1 hopelessly pale yellow leaf. 🍃✂️ Since I bought the plant that leaf never opened up like the larger ones. The larger leaves look the same, so nothing to worry about, I guess. No noticeable new growth.

Um... Is it just me or is my pothos looking much too perky / stretchy?

I've learned when to 💧 it. Sometimes after 5 days, sometimes after 8 days. I wait for the 🍃 to start drooping, which means it's been thirsty. It perks right up after watering.

I'll turn the pothos pot to have the pothos sort of perpendicular to the wall and see if the funny leaf behavior is light-related.

I find it interesting that the youngest leaf of the pothos has grown larger than the slightly older one. It's like the older one just stopped growing. 😶

One browning leaf quickly went yellow. Got rid of it. *sigh*

Been a long time since I posted about my #GoldenPothos. This is what it looks like now. I didn't want the long leggy look anymore -- I was getting tempted to cut it and grow a new plant from it.

Knowing my #PlantCare track record and #YellowThumbs, that would have a sad outcome. 😁

Also, me thinks that keeping the leaves close together will make it easier to give them the same amount of light.

It's been with me 4 months now. Still alive. Looking perky. Color/variegation good. There are only 6 leaves left and there hasn't been any new growth in 2 months.

Is it too perky? In pictures I've seen, pothos #plants grow low and look very relaxed.

I have a #GrowLight indirectly shining on it 12 hours a day.

Switch to just the blue light? Move the light closer? 🤔 @plants

Got my N'Joy yesterday. I noticed that compared to the younger leaves (and compared to the leaves of Golden), the larger leaves felt like dry paper. Then I realized there was actually a white layer of i-don't-know-what on the leaves. So I wiped them off.

Then today I see white crystals in the #soil. 😳 Hwaaaaat?!

It's growing a new leaf though. So it's ok?

Would that also cause the dry white stuff on the leaves? I wiped them off. Haven't noticed a reoccurrence.
