For those of you who run #FreeBSD on laptops: I'm thinking about getting two 4K monitors. I have one HDMI and one mini-displayport on my Dell Precision 7550 with integrated Intel graphics. I'm looking for suggestions on which monitor(s) to get.
@lattera Do you want 4K for screen real estate or for Hi-DPI crispness?
What other requirements do you have? Color accuracy, variable refresh rate, color depth, VESA compatibility, additional inputs, outputs, USB hub, etc.?
@MacLemon For real estate. More space in my terminal. :)

@lattera Then you most likely want a display in the 105-140 dpi range. Meaning at a @1x usage we‘re talking about 37-43 inches for a 16:9 4K display. That‘s 100-120cm wide. Make sure you have enough space on your desk. Such a display has to basically sit flat on your desk to still be at a comfortable height at the top.

With that width you must turn your head to see each edge at a normal desk viewing distance.

At that size 2300mm radius curved is a good option.
