Before Microsoft acquired Skype in 2011, the voice calling service was already ditching its "near impossible to wiretap" peer-to-peer model in favor of the cloud.

I'm not saying Microsoft uses black hats to strong-arm companies into selling out cheap.

I'm just saying I sure hope Microsoft doesn't decide they want to buy Signal. 😐

Signal have abandoned their AGPL-licensed server (see, in italian https://erm67.dynu.net/objects/128b5299-3dba-4607-aba2-834a0100de15 and https://linuxreviews.org/Signal_Appears_To_Have_Abandoned_Their_AGPL-licensed_Server_Sourcecode )
